With many States having a Stay At Home Order for nonessential employees many of us have found ourselves working from home with new, four-legged “co-workers”. Many businesses’ employees have been able to stay productive while working from home with Webex meetings and to-do lists. Brian McFadden, Debbie Turner, Jill Urich, Gina Bilak Our Accounting Department provides streamlined accounting procedures for Emerald’s portfolio of hotels. These services include daily cash, check, and credit card reconciliations, payroll and payroll tax reconciliations, accounts payable entry, processing, and payment, sales tax, occupancy tax, use tax and commercial activity tax reconciliation,   payment, profit and loss reporting, cash flow projections, budgeting, recording and payment of capital plans or renovations, assisting and coordinating financing for hotel acquisition or refinance, and assisting in property and casualty and umbrella insurance prices. An Interview With A Member of Our Team Who Has Been Here The Longest

Ed Pavente has been with Emerald since 2001 in several roles from Vice President of Operations to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he is responsible for the operations, performance, owner relations, and capital planning for all of the properties in the Emerald portfolio. Under Ed’s leadership the hotels he oversees have achieved a multitude of industry awards from several different brands and organizations. Meet Our Capital Management Team

Jeff Mahoney, Gretchen Roberts, Jen Gerish, Don Haggerty Our Capital Management Department handles a wide range of responsibilities from managing vendor and supplier relationships to monthly routine quality inspections of our hotels. The team has a hand in each step of a hotel’s life including project management for new builds, renovations or PIPs (Project Improvement Plans), and supporting the engineering department with inspections. Each member of the team is an important part of the success of the department: Jeff Mahoney and Don Haggerty, Regional Directors of Engineering and Capital Management . They support hotels in several ways from coordinating and reviewing contracts with vendors and suppliers to project management on new builds, PIPs, and general contractors.
